In today's economic climate clubs are likely to lose a higher percentage of members than usual and competition to find new members is high. The EGU golf club survey shows that the majority of clubs in Yorkshire have current membership vacancies yet many clubs are reluctant to advertise openly, relying on the more traditional letters of application and proposals from members.

Yorkshire Golf can help you find new members for 2009

Yorkshire Golf offers two ways to promote golf club vacancies:

Inclusion of your vacancy details in our membership offers section, where you can be sure it is read by a local audience, who are actually looking for vacancies rather than just browsing local press. Your entry will include your own wording, club logo,.and contact details and an optional link to a full page advertisement.

Alternatively, just inform us of your vacancies and rates and we will do the rest. Our Membership Service, aimed at local golfers and newcomers to the county, provides a report of all clubs with vacancies near to their home address. We ask each golfer to complete a simple form of key personal information and ask that we can submit this to any local clubs with current membership vacancies. Your club can then review all application forms and contact us if you wish to arrange an interview.
