Golf for schools
Golf has now been identified as one of the top 10 sports in the UK, and the English Golf Union (EGU) is encouraging golf clubs to make golf available to children at an early age. Yorkshire Golf is looking for junior friendly clubs to provide coaching sessions for groups from local schools. The onus should be on making the game fun encouraging kids to come back for more.
We will work with you to tailor packages to suit both your club and local schools, including:
- One-off introductory sessions
- A Golf School of 6 weekly lessons
- We will provide a Yorkshire Golf certificate for all participating children
These sessions could easily be run by your clubs assistant professional and you could involve some of your own young members to make the visiting juniors feel more comfortable.
QuickGolf
The EGU are encouraging clubs to make 6 hole and 9 hole golf events available to beginners and juniors. These could be offered to the more experienced juniors, once they have 'qualified' from the golf school. Yorkshire Golf have a variety of QuickGolf formats and would welcome the chance to discuss how we can make these work at your club.
